The Fiat 147 was launched in July 1976, basically a slightly modified 127 built at a new factory in Brasil. Production continued until 1985/6 with various facelifts along the way.

The 'Spazio' was the final facelift in 1984 and saw the 147 adopt the revised corporate grille alongside numerous other changes.

A three-volume version, called the 'Oggi' was also built.
