Goodwood Festival of Speed
2002

One of the largest classic car events in the UK calendar, Goodwood again saw an excellent collection of cars, including many Italian ones. The Museo Alfa Romeo brought over several cars, whilst Italdesign brought the spectacular new Brera. The 'replica' D50 was also worth seeing, as were the more contemporary Zonda and Edonis.

Many more pictures will be added in the near future.

The star of the show was the new Italdesign Brera, a stunning concept car seen for the first time being driven rapidly in the UK. Later, it was able to be examined close up.

Released at Geneva earlier this year, the Brera features a Ferrari/Maserati V8 and a rear mounted gearbox. Unfortunately production is not planned.

More traditional Goodwood cars included the equally spectacular (albeit recently constructed) Lancia D50 (above left) and D24 (left). One of many Ferraris was this pretty 375MM (above).

The Alfa Romeo museum brought over several cars including two 8C2900 cars, a Mille Miglia version (above) and a Le Mans version (above right). A classic 159 (right) was also present, as was a 3000CM (below). Unusual was the Alfa Romeo engined Nardi 2500 (below right).
