Walking down the road leading up to the start one could examine the cars as they waited their turn. Among them a rare Sighinolfi 1100 Sport (right), a very lurid yellow Ferrari 750 Monza (below left) and a Cisitalia 202 SC (below right), one of the lucky ones with a roof !

Many more Ferraris were present, such as a 250 Tour de France Zagato (above left) and a 225S (above right). Traditional competition came from Maserati such as these A6GCS's (left and below left). Another offering from Zagato, this time a Fiat 8V (below right).
