	Some images of the cars leaving the very wet start ramp at Brescia on the Thursday evening. Pictured are car number 1, an OM 665 MM (above left), an Alfa Romeo RL Targa Florio (above), a Lancia Lambda (left), an Alfa Romeo 6C1500SS (below left) and an Alfa Romeo 6C2500 Villa d'Esta (below).
Walking down the road leading up to the start one could examine the cars as they waited their turn. Among them a rare Sighinolfi 1100 Sport (right), a very lurid yellow Ferrari 750 Monza (below left) and a Cisitalia 202 SC (below right), one of the lucky ones with a roof !
	Many more Ferraris were present, such as a 250 Tour de France Zagato (above left) and a 225S (above right). Traditional competition came from Maserati such as these A6GCS's (left and below left). Another offering from Zagato, this time a Fiat 8V (below right).
More unusual vehicles included the spectacular Lancia Astura MM (right), a little Bandini 750 Sport (below left) and a Stanguellini 508 Sport (below right).
